CITY OF WICHITA FALLS

LAKE WICHITA REVITALIZATION

The Lake Wichita Revitalization (Boardwalk) project is a large, wide boardwalk that has been constructed near the former site of the historic pavilion west of the Lake Wichita spillway. The piers from the original boardwalk will remain as they are to preserve Wichita Falls' history. The Boardwalk project includes a weathered steel frame, composite board deck, drill piers, and associated work. The new boardwalk extends to about the same length as the original pier at 160 feet long with a 48-foot "T" shaped end. It is the first of the Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee's three-part project that also includes a boat ramp at Kemp Street and Veterans Memorial Plaza.
